We are seeking a Universal Production Worker for our Trouw Nutrition Companion Animal brand-Highland, IL. This role is a production worker in our Blending Innovation Center who has learned all aspects of the production process and can proficiently perform all positions. Our shifts times are Monday - Friday, from 6:00a- 2:00p with possible overtime. A new employee would be trained in all of the processes with the objective of reaching Universal Worker status within one year. Additionally, making sure that quality standards are followed along with work instructions/SWS’s.

Trouw Nutrition Companion Animal, a Nutreco brand, provides specialty feed additives to optimize animal performance and customer value. Our unique products are backed by sound science, the expertise to help customers win and manufactured at the highest quality standards. We add value to our customers with proven solutions for trace mineral optimization, animal health and performance.

About The Role: Universal Production Worker

Responsibilities:

  • Learn all aspects of the production role
  • Looking for quality and making sure that ingredients are measured to an exact weight
  • Taking great care in sanitation to make sure that all elements are clean to not have contamination
  • Asking questions when they arise, making sure to understand the process
  • Following 9 Nutreco Life Savings Rules
  • Lifting up to up to 50+ lbs
  • Understanding basic computer skills as all process are maintained digitally

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

  • High School or GED is required
  • 1-3 years of previous manufacturing/operating automated equipment is preferred
  • Good communication skills written & verbal
  • Computer experience with manufacturing applications and email programs preferred
  • Must be willing to obtain a forklift certification (training done onsite.)
  • Must be safety minded
