Are you a finance expert with a strong grasp of accounting and a passion for improving how things are done? Join Trouw Nutrition Benelux, part of Nutreco and the SHV Group, as a Financial Controller, a key role where your expertise will directly influence the financial performance and decision-making of our Benelux operations.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of accurate and timely financial reporting under IFRS, lead inventory and cost accounting activities, and manage CAPEX controls. You’ll collaborate closely with Procurement and our Finance Shared Service Center, playing a vital part in month-end closings, compliance, and delivering meaningful financial insights that drive our business forward.

About the Role

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements and IFRS. Actively involvement in month-end financial procedures.

  • Analyse financial data and provide actionable insights recommendations to management.

  • Manage CAPEX accounting and support financial statements preparation

  • Oversee supplier rebates, payments, and monitor FX risk exposure

  • Analyse inventory, cost, and supplier data to support strategic decisions, including validating purchase costs in close collaboration with Procurement

  • Ensure internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness

  • Drive ongoing improvements in financial processes to boost efficiency and data quality

Skills and Expertise

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in finance, Accounting, or related field (CPA is a plus)

  • 2+ years' experience in accounting and financial control

  • Strong knowledge of general accounting and cost accounting

  • Hands-on month-end closing experience in a manufacturing or complex operational environment

  • Advanced Excel skills with basic experience in Power BI (mandatory). Familiarity with ERP systems such as Unite4Cloud or OneStream is a plus.

  • Fluent in English; Dutch preferred, French is a plus

  • Soft skills like being proactive, well-organized, analytical, solution-oriented, and a collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, international setting
