The Finance Manager Global Supply Points (GSP) is responsible for the finance management of five factories in the Netherlands (3), in Germany (1) and in USA (1). This role is the business partner to the Global Supply Points Director, part of Regional Management Team of GSP and statutory Director of 3 legal entities (Selko BV, Sloten BV and Butzow).
The activities entail financial routines such as monthly Business Review Meeting (BRM) to track the performance of Global Supply Points, rolling forecasts and budget processes, internal controls management, risk assessments, project steering committee, and investment proposals submissions.
About The Role
Responsibilities:
Strategy - formulation of financial strategy, consistent with the business strategy of the GSP and corporate guidelines resulting in short and (mid) long term plans for the department and a framework for the key areas of the department.
Business Year Planning and Financial Control - setting up and implementing year plan(s) for the key area(s) of the department, in line with the strategy of the GSP, while ensuring timely and accurate availability of financial plans, reports and budgets, within corporate guidelines, in order to give management adequate insight into the financial situation, and ensuring the correctness of the bookkeeping (made by the Shared Services department). Prepare and present financial performance in monthly BRM (Business review meetings) with upper management.
Management advice - proactively advises management in decisions with substantial financial consequences and taking care of financial analyses to support these decisions, within corporate guidelines, to ensure financial awareness in decision making and to minimize financial risks.
Internal controls & audits – processes coordination to ensure the proper execution of all internal controls, follow up to all open items and actions from audits, and support on both internal and external audits.
Projects – active role in projects’ Steering Committees, and development of business cases for Investment Proposals for CAPEX.
Risk & Tax management - planning, directing and controlling risk-management, supervising and controlling the handling of claims, guaranteeing a balance between the financial (economic) risks and the costs of insurance, while ensuring to comply with relevant local tax rules and legislation, with support of Global Tax department.
People Management - Organizing, managing, and developing the team in the department, in order to be equipped for current and future business challenges and to contribute to the optimization of business results.
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
At least 7 years' experience in Finance/Business controlling/Accounting.
Previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment is required.
Proven experience leading and coaching a team.
Excellent communication skills to navigate in both high-level spheres and local operations.
Detail oriented, flexible and dynamic profile, who can influence stakeholders and is open to exploring different solutions and working in a constantly changing environment.
One Stream and M3 knowledge will be a plus.
