Skretting USA is looking for "Truck Driver" for Warehouse in Wendall, Idaho.

About the role: The Truck Driver transports and delivers the aquaculture feed to the desired locations, according to data on the shipping documents in order to realize timely, efficient and safe transport and delivery. 

Responsibilities:

• Documentation: Receives documents, checks documents for the correctness of required data for the drive, reporting anomalies to the expedition planner or manager

• Transport: Loads the truck / has the truck loaded, according to data mentioned in the documents, and / or supervises the manner of loading by warehouse staff, unloads the truck / lets the truck be unloaded of cargo on assigned locations (if relevant, with the aid of a forklift truck) or unloading of bags, taking into account specific customer requirements. Checks cargo packing on quality and reporting abnormalities to supervisor

• Maintenance: Ensures availability of the vehicle at all times, plans regular maintenance and reports any serious maintenance issues. Checks the operation of the engine and the technical condition of the truck (oil levels, lights, etc.) Performs daily necessary cleaning, maintenance and care of fuel consumption. Cleans the trucks for the loading of goods and checks whether it is empty

• Safety and regulations: Conforms to all safety and traffic regulations in order to ensure safety of goods, traffic and self. Maintains and files trip reports (eg fuel, delivery times, visits, equipment damage, etc.).

Skills and Expertise:

Qualifications:

• CDL Class A or Class B license. Ability and expertise to drive 10 Wheel truck

• At least 4 to 5+ years of strong experience with commercial truck driving

Expectation from the Role:

• Hands on with commercial truck driving in the appropriate set up where the goods/feed was transferred

• Good knowledge of the safety standards, ability to signal potential hazardous and / or unsafe situations, takes appropriate action is case of imminent unsafe situations

• Ability to handle the complexity, complexity of the job depends on two main factors: (1) the complexity of maneuvering the vehicle, whether it is a van, a truck or a trailer/combi-truck, (2) complexity of the transport, the route and the number of countries that are passed during the trip.
